 From Helper to Driver in UAE - My Real 13-Year Story at Al Kabir Group

Assalam-o-Alaikum, 

I am Anwaar. I went to UAE in 2009 and spent 13 beautiful years in Dubai and Sharjah (SHJ). I started my career as a Helper at Al Kabir Group of Companies and later worked in Sales and finally as a Driver. This is my honest story for all my brothers who want to come to UAE.

1. My Starting Salary in 2009

When I landed in Dubai in 2009, my salary was only 900 AED. Life was tough. I was a helper, carrying boxes, working in heat. But I never complained. After 2 years, my company increased 250 AED every year. Slowly, my salary grew because of my hard work and honesty.

2. Current Driver Salary in UAE (2025 Update)

Today in 2025, a company driver in Dubai / Sharjah gets 2500 AED to 3500 AED. If you have a Heavy License, you can get 4000+ AED. Al Kabir and other big food companies pay on time and give good benefits.

3. Is Driving Job Difficult?

Yes, it is a very difficult job. 12 hours duty, Dubai traffic, summer heat 50°C, delivery pressure. But if you LOVE driving, if you have a passion for driving, then it is the EASIEST job in the world for you. I loved my steering.

4. My 5 Golden Rules for Every Pakistani / Indian Brother in UAE

Rule 1: Work Hard & Be Good. Always be honest with your company. Don't fight. Respect everyone.

Rule 2: Spend on Family. Your salary is not for show-off. Spend it on your home and your children. That is your real success.

Rule 3: SAVE EVERY MONTH - This is Most Important. If your salary is low (1500-2000 AED), save at least 300 AED every month. If your salary is 3000 AED plus, save 500 to 800 AED. If you want to go back to your country one day with respect, saving is compulsory. No saving = No future.

Rule 4: Follow UAE Rules. UAE rules are very easy. Just follow them. If you follow rules, you will NEVER get a fine, NEVER have an accident, and InshaAllah you will always be safe. Wear seatbelt, don't use mobile while driving, don't overspeed.

Rule 5: Think About Your Return. Don't think UAE is forever. Save money, build a small house in Pakistan, start a small business plan for later.

Dubai gave me everything. I love Dubai and Sharjah. If you want to come, come with patience and hard work. Helper job is not small - it is the first step to Driver, to Supervisor.
